Will There Be New Developments in the Case of MP Sergey Bagratyan?
Recently, it became known that the Special Investigation Service rejected the initiation of a criminal case involving MP Sergey Bagratyan of the 'Prosperous Armenia' faction in connection with an incident that occurred in Vayots Dzor.
Recall that the Deputy Governor of Vayots Dzor, Razmik Tonoyan, reported to the police that MP Sergey Bagratyan and the administrative head of Artabuyunk village in the Yeghegis community, Armen Sedrakyan, attacked him on April 27, displayed disrespectful behavior, and uttered insults towards him. However, Sergey Bagratyan denied his involvement in the incident.
In an interview with ArmLur.am, Sergey Bagratyan stated that justice has prevailed, suggesting that Deputy Governor Razmik Tonoyan seems to have not come to terms with the current situation. Interestingly, the Deputy Governor has not made any posts about this matter and has not given any interviews. Instead, MP Kristine Poghosyan from the 'My Step' faction has been actively discussing this issue.
ArmLur.am asked Tonoyan what steps he plans to take next. 'On Monday, we will announce what the next step will be,' said the Deputy Governor. When asked if he still has not made a decision, Tonoyan replied that he does have a plan but is preparing to speak about it later.
When questioned why only Kristine Poghosyan is talking about this topic, the Deputy Governor stated, 'I mean, how should I respond to that question? What do you expect me to say? I will also speak about this. It’s just a matter of time.'
