Shelters Discovered in Prisons

On May 16, around 17:00, employees of the RA Ministry of Justice's "Artik" penitentiary institution discovered and confiscated a mobile phone from under the bed of one of the cells during unannounced searches. In the "Nubarashen" penitentiary institution, two knives, 21 homemade playing cards, and another mobile phone hidden in a cigarette box were found.

This information was reported by the penitentiary service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.

On the same day, around 19:30, unannounced searches at the "Hrazdan" penitentiary institution resulted in the discovery and confiscation of seven mobile phones, three mobile phone chargers, and 20 factory-produced playing cards.

Today, around 10:00, six mobile phones, four mobile phone chargers, and one Wi-Fi device were found during unannounced searches conducted at the "Sevan" penitentiary institution.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incidents.
