Russia Will Not Attend Vladimir Zelensky's Inauguration Ceremony
Russia is not among the countries whose representatives have been invited to attend the inauguration ceremony of Ukraine's newly elected president, Vladimir Zelensky, scheduled for May 20.
According to the TASS news agency, this was announced by the spokesperson of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry, Yekaterina Zelenko.
“The Russian Federation has not been invited to this event. We have invited those countries that are our partners and friends,” said the Foreign Ministry spokesperson in a televised statement.
On May 16, Ukraine's Supreme Rada confirmed the date for Zelensky's inauguration ceremony. According to the constitution, the official ceremony will take place in the parliament's session hall, where the new leader will take an oath before the deputies.
