The State Revenue Committee Discovers Large Amounts of Oil Products without Stamps

As part of the ongoing efforts by the State Revenue Committee to uncover the shadow economy, a significant quantity of oil products was discovered without the required stamps (or with stamped labels) at various oil-selling points and shops operating in Yerevan and other regions of Armenia. This came in response to complaints received from official importers in the sector regarding the sale of oil products lacking proper documentation and mandatory labeling.

The investigation and operational intelligence department of the SRC conducted operational-investigative measures leading to the seizure of large quantities of oil products bearing trademarks such as 'ROSNEFT', 'SHELL', 'ZIK', 'CHEMPION', 'ROLF', 'CASTROL', 'MOBIL', 'VOLGA', 'FANFAR', 'MANOL', and 'ORIGINAL BMW ENGINE OIL' in various container sizes. These products have been transported for examination by the State Revenue Committee.

The SRC's information and public relations department reported that the materials compiled regarding these cases allegedly contain characteristics of Article 210 of the RA Criminal Code. Consequently, the materials have been forwarded to the investigative department of the SRC for a legal evaluation.

The State Revenue Committee urges the public to refrain from purchasing and selling products without mandatory labeling, emphasizing that daily efforts are being made to uncover such violations within the framework of their designated functions.

Notice: The suspected individual in a presumed crime is considered innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, through a legally binding court ruling.
