Nikol Pashinyan's Visit to China Concludes
Nikol Pashinyan's working visit to China has concluded. According to a report from Armenpress, on the final day of the visit, Prime Minister Pashinyan met with representatives of Ganergy Heavy Industry Group.
Following the meeting, a photo session was scheduled with the Xinhua News Agency. Prime Minister Pashinyan also gave an interview to CCTV news agency. The delegation led by Pashinyan was in China from May 14. During the visit, Pashinyan met with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
During the meeting, Pashinyan noted that Armenia is interested in implementing joint projects with China under the "Belt and Road" initiative, adding that the Armenian side is considering participation in joint projects in the fields of road transport, railways, and information infrastructure. Xi Jinping, for his part, stated that China is ready to participate in the construction of the North-South Highway and other infrastructure projects. The President of China remarked that certain Armenian products have recently participated successfully in exhibitions held in China and are present in the market. Xi Jinping expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation will develop in the near future in areas such as trade, industry, transport, culture, and humanitarian sectors.
During a working lunch, Prime Minister Pashinyan also discussed issues related to the further development of Armenian-Chinese relations with State Council Premier Li Keqiang. "We can closely cooperate in various fields, considering the commonalities of our two countries. There is a strong political foundation for this," emphasized Li Keqiang. Pashinyan noted that Armenia and China have common interests, highlighting the importance of cooperation in industry, transport, and information technology sectors.
The Prime Minister participated in the Asian Civilizations Dialogue Conference in Beijing, where he delivered a speech.
PM Pashinyan and Mrs. Anna Hakobyan also attended a gala concert at the National Olympic Stadium in Beijing, during which the Armenian dance ensemble "Barekamutyun" performed.
