Ashotyan Calls Developments Around Kocharian One of the Most Shameful Pages in Armenian History

Robert Kocharian's ongoing trial is horrific, marking one of the shameful pages in modern Armenian history. This was stated by the Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, on his Facebook page.

His post is presented below.

“The process being carried out against Robert Kocharian is horrific, turning into one of the shameful pages in our modern history.

A page that threatens to destroy numerous written and unwritten laws. A page whose insidious and divisive impact would be envied by our enemies, who have organized information and political diversions against the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh for the past 30 years.

The authorities, who have usurped power and are intoxicated and blinded by that fact, are watching as the charges presented in the trial led by those guided by principles dissolve into thin air.

This human and political drama exposes the essence of people like an X-ray beam: manliness versus cowardice, morality versus baseness, nobility versus pettiness.

Somewhere, the malicious mind that cannot find its garment tries methodically to destroy the two Armenian states, to tear us apart as a people, to weaken the values that connect and bind us.

And it does so with our own hands, attempting to connect the mechanism of self-destruction. This is a revolutionary revelry at the doorstep of our state, struck by plague.

That malignancy has taken hostage two Armenian states and an entire people.
