‘Fat Position’. Mashadyan’s Associate Appointed Head of Taxation in Aragatsotn

According to the newspaper ‘Zhamanak’, ‘Controversial appointments at the State Revenue Committee (SRC) have continued since the revolution. Rafik Mashadyan, one of the old-timers at the SRC, is still ensuring the promotion of his close associates, relatives, and loyal individuals.

Specifically, it has come to our attention that recently, Mashadyan’s close associate Artash Nazaryan has been appointed head of the tax authority in Aragatsotn province. Nazaryan previously served as the deputy to Edik Gspoyan, the head of the SRC’s large taxpayers’ department. It was Mashadyan who used to entrust them with the ‘fat checks’, which would also imply ‘fat bribes’ from economic operators and large businesses.
