People Know How to Clear a Path to Pashinyan’s Heart: ‘Irates’

‘Irates’ newspaper writes: “Although the institution of the First Lady of the Republic of Armenia is not enshrined in the Constitution, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s wife, Anna Hakobyan, with her activities, eclipses even the work of certain state institutions.

Foreign investors, wealthy businessmen from the diaspora, and remnants of the former government know well whom to approach and how to pave the way to Pashinyan’s ‘heart’ that does not tolerate corruption. Indeed, we have a first super-lady worthy of the super-prime minister.

In parallel, there is another reality. The Constitution also states that the First Lady of the country is the President’s wife, Nune Sargsyan, who had an interesting episode recently. In contrast to Anna Hakobyan, Nune Sargsyan has no staff, no press secretary, and no foundations.

Recently, members of an organization seeking support for a certain program were hosted by Nune Sargsyan, who was surprised when she apologized for having to personally write down what they said, as she has no assistant. And what do you say about a press secretary? It's said so matter-of-factly that those present thought it should be that way.”
