No Criminal Case Will Be Initiated Against Gagik Tsarukyan
According to a decision by the special investigative service, the initiation of a criminal case against Gagik Tsarukyan based on the materials prepared upon a request from the "Citizen's Decision" party has been rejected.
This was stated by Marina Ohanyan, press secretary of the Special Investigative Service, in an interview with Tert.am. She indicated that the rejection of the criminal case was based on the absence of a criminal element.
It is noteworthy that the "Citizen's Decision" (CD) party had appealed to the prosecutor's office and the chairman of the National Assembly, urging to raise the question of terminating the parliamentary powers of Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" faction. Later, Lilit Makunts, the leader of the "My Step" faction, announced that the NA chairman would address the matter in a statement. Ararat Mirzoyan also called on Gagik Tsarukyan to provide a comprehensive response in his statement.
