Ministry of Education Denies Claims on Employee Vacation Schedule
The schedule for employee vacations at the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia was approved at the beginning of this year. This was stated by the press secretary of the Minister of Education, Angela Kzhdryan, on her Facebook page.
She specifically wrote: “In relation to the publication in the ‘Iravunk’ newspaper titled ‘Vacation Requests Are Not Allowed in the Ministry of Education,’ I would like to inform you that the schedule for employee vacations at the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia was approved at the beginning of this year. Moreover, currently, the head of the ministry's staff is on vacation.”
Previously, the 'Iravunk' newspaper reported that, according to sources close to the Ministry of Education and Science, Minister Arayik Harutyunyan had instructed employees not to take vacations. The reason is that the ministry is soon expected to transform into what is being referred to as a 'super-ministry,' incorporating several other sectors, and it remains unclear who will stay and who will leave.
Consequently, everyone has been asked to ‘stay calmly in their places until they understand how to deal with the ‘meal they themselves cooked.’
