Court Ruling Requires Ashot Grigoryan to Refute Defamatory Information About Tigran Sargsyan

The Yerevan First Instance Court, presided over by Judge Hayarpi Zargaryan, has issued a ruling compelling Ashot Grigoryan, president of the Eurasian Business Financial Center holding, to publicly refute information considered defamatory regarding former Prime Minister of Armenia and Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Tigran Sargsyan. According to Armnews, the court has mandated Grigoryan to publish the refutation in several media outlets.

The court also decided to award Tigran Sargsyan 1 million AMD as compensation for the defamation.

The subject of the case revolves around materials published by various media based on statements made by Ashot Grigoryan regarding the Nairit Plant, which the court has deemed defamatory towards Tigran Sargsyan, thereby obligating Grigoryan to deny them.
