Ashotyan on Meeting with Ararat Mirzoyan

Today, reports surfaced in the media stating that the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, had a closed-door meeting with Armen Ashotyan in his office.

In response to the information released in the media today, Armen Ashotyan stated:

1. “I initiated a meeting with the President of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan.”
2. “The meeting was dedicated to several issues related to Armenia's foreign policy and parliamentary diplomacy. There is no need to provide further details for understandable reasons.”
3. “I am satisfied with the course and outcomes of the meeting.”
4. “The meeting was not secret; there are no secret meetings in the National Assembly, as at least several dozen people can see it. Today's leaks are evidence of that.”
5. “Regardless of political differences, there are state and national issues of importance, related to which our 'epaulettes' not only allow discussing relevant matters with the current authorities but further compel me to continue serving my homeland.”
