You Had the Support of More than 90% of the People, What Is It Now? A Question to Pashinyan
“You had the support of more than 90% of the people. Have you calculated what that percentage is now?” asks an RBC journalist to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
As reported by Shantnews, Pashinyan responds:
“I haven’t checked, but I believe nothing has changed and nothing will change because I am confident that I am honest with the people. We work to open all opportunities for everyone; there will be no economic or political limitations for them. Everyone will have the opportunity to realize their talents.”
The media notes that when prompted that it seems like an idealist is speaking, the Prime Minister replies.
“That’s true. And do you know what one of the peculiarities of our revolution was? It was the victory of romanticism over pragmatism.”
In response to the question of whether that romanticism has been shattered by confronting reality, Pashinyan says:
“No, everything is as we thought it would be in Armenia, and we will continue this way.”
