Arsen Torosyan on the Malayan Center Incident
The police are preparing materials to determine whether a criminal case should be initiated.
“The Health and Labor Inspection has also been informed to conduct an investigation on their part. We have involved employees from the Drug Expertise Center and the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention to clarify the entire situation and ensure there are consequences. If it is determined that there was negligence on the part of the healthcare worker in fulfilling professional duties, there should be legal repercussions within the framework of a criminal case, if it is found that varying degrees of harm were caused,” said the minister.
Torosyan noted that regarding the medication in question, according to their available information, which requires further verification, the drug was imported properly, and the batch meets registration requirements. “Therefore, it remains to be presumed that the issue arose from violations of medication usage protocols rather than due to the drug being spoiled. However, this is only a presumption, and clarification should be sought through an expert examination,” said the Minister of Health.
