Driver Hits 12-Year-Old Girl and Flees the Scene

On May 11, an accident occurred in the Tavush region, where a driver hit a 12-year-old girl named Elena Avetisyan on Kalinin Street in Dilijan around 1:30 PM.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver left the child helpless and fled the scene. The injured girl was rushed to the Tavush Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities from the Traffic Police's 2nd Police Department arrived at the scene. Police investigators determined that the hit-and-run was committed by 41-year-old Arman Ispriyan from the Davitashen administrative district of Yerevan, driving a Toyota Camry with license plate 89 AR 888. The Dilijan police managed to locate Ispriyan and the vehicle.
