VIDEO: Senior Official of Food Safety State Service Arrested

The National Security Service has uncovered another case of a public official receiving a large bribe, which, according to NEWS.am, occurred at the Ministry of Agriculture.

The head of the veterinary inspection at the Food Safety State Service has issued export certificates for several thousand sheep to Qatar for selfish purposes, using his official position. In exchange, he received a significant amount of money, part of which was received in April 2019, and the other part on May 7.

At the moment the second part of the payment was received, both the briber and the recipient were caught and detained.

The individual who received the bribe has been arrested.

An investigation is underway.
