Two 17-Year-Old College Students Stabbed in Ararat Region
On May 9, a dispute turned into a brawl and stabbing incident occurred in the Ararat region. At approximately 10:30 PM, the Ararat medical center notified the police station in Artashat that two minors had been admitted with stab wounds: a cut wound on the left thigh and a cut wound on the front phalanx of the left hand, as well as a penetrating stab wound to the left side of the chest and non-penetrating stab wounds to the right and left flanks of the abdominal wall. The media outlet notes that police and investigators discovered that on the same day, at approximately 10:20 PM, a dispute had occurred in the village of Burastan between the mentioned individuals and an 18-year-old resident of the same village, Garik Shahbazyan, who attacked VH and JH with a sharp cutting and stabbing tool he possessed. Police and investigators located G. Shahbazyan, who was detained and brought to the Artashat police station, from where he was subsequently transferred to the Ararat regional investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee. According to G. Shamshyan's information, the injured students study at one of the state colleges in the Ararat region.
