Lena Nazaryan and Garik Sargsyan Will Not Be Part of the CPP Leadership. What is the Reason for the 'Boycott'?
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports: Members of the current board of the 'Civil Contract' party, Vice President of the National Assembly Lena Nazaryan and Ararat Governor Garik Sargsyan, will not be part of the new board. Neither of them has put forward their candidacies for the board elections.
While Garik Sargsyan has submitted an application to become a member of the supervisory body, Lena Nazaryan has completely 'boycotted' both a position in the party leadership and the supervisory body. Instead, Nazaryan's husband, Narek Babayan, head of the State Property Management Committee, has put his name forward.
Lena Nazaryan did not respond to our questions, while our sources within the CPP indicated that she justified her decision not to run by stating that 'there is too much work, and she cannot manage.' As for the Ararat governor, it was mentioned that friends advised him to stay away from 'excessive' noise.
