New Wave of Discontent in Russian Elite: Vice Speaker Calls Russian PM 'Rude'
The newspaper 'Zhamanak' reports that the Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, has described the behavior of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev as 'rude', which has sparked significant discontent within the Russian elite.
The issue is that Alen Simonyan serves as the head of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission between the National Assembly of Armenia and the Federal Assembly of Russia. Now, the Russian side is unofficially raising questions through various channels about how a person who can label the Russian Prime Minister as 'rude' could hold such a position.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's comments were merely an attempt to somehow overcome this crisis.
