Citizen Attempts Suicide on Vagharsyan Street

On May 8, at 22:23, the 911 service received a call reporting a citizen attempting to commit suicide near Shirvanzade School and Unibank on Vagharsyan Street in Yerevan. The individual was reported to be in poor condition and needed assistance.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations' press service, an operational group from the National Crisis Management Center of the EMERCOM and a psychological counselor from the Psychological Support Department were dispatched to the scene.

It was found that the citizen, identified as A.M., was under the influence of alcohol and had expressed a desire to harm himself, according to the eyewitnesses.

The psychological counselor provided A.M. with psychological support.

Police officers subsequently transported A.M. to the Arabkir Police Department.
