Car Accident in Vayots Dzor: 4 Injured
On May 8, a car accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. Around 12:40 PM, a collision took place on the 123rd kilometer of the Yerevan-Meghri highway between two vehicles: a VAZ 2121 with license plate 97 AO 997 driven by 22-year-old Erik Hambardzumyan, a resident of the Republic of Artsakh, and a VAZ 2103 with license plate 34 VТ 145 driven by 23-year-old Arman Smbatyan, a resident of Yeghjartsdzor.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, driver A. Smbatyan and his passenger, 21-year-old Armen Khudoyan from Yeghjartsdzor, along with VAZ 2121 passengers—49-year-old Levon Hambardzumyan and 47-year-old Aregha Hambardzumyan—sustained injuries and were transported to Yeghjartsdzor Medical Center.
G. Shamshyan's sources state that driver E. Hambardzumyan serves in the Artsakh Defense Army's N military unit, while injured Levon Hambardzumyan works at the village administration of Moshkhmhat in the Republic of Artsakh.
