Car crashes into barrier and overturns in Aragatsotn, casualties reported

On May 3, at 17:57, a call was received by the '911' service reporting a traffic accident on the road in the village of Nerk'in Bazmaberd in the Aragatsotn region. Assistance from rescuers was required.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informed that a fire-rescue unit from the MES headed to the scene of the incident.

It was found that a Toyota vehicle (driver S.Y., born in 1960) had left the traffic lane on the 64th km of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, collided with a concrete barrier, and overturned.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver and passenger A.Y. (born in 1962) were hospitalized at Talin Medical Center, where doctors assessed their health condition as satisfactory.

The rescuers de-energized the vehicle and closed the gas cylinder valve.
