VIDEO: Non-existent Beneficiaries Still Exist in Armenia, Says Pashinyan
During today’s government meeting, the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of Armenia, Zaruhi Batoyan, presented a draft law on amendments to the "Law on State Pensions." The draft had been submitted to the government by the 'Bright Armenia' faction in the National Assembly.
The Minister stated that it is proposed to annul the provisions requiring pensioners who receive their pensions in cash to appear at a bank at least once a year to sign a declaration of their presence in Armenia.
"I do not understand the projects that suggest we go back," responded Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
He noted that there are tens of thousands of pensioners in Armenia who do not exist but still receive pensions.
