Kyaramyan did not reveal who his real father is and where his wealth comes from

The news that I met with the Prime Minister, I don’t know where it comes from and what the source is, said the Acting Head of the Anti-Corruption Committee, Argishti Kyaramyan, in a conversation with reporters after the government meeting, whose property declaration has recently raised significant noise.

“First, I would like to note that the respected journalist asked the Prime Minister questions outside the context of my clarification, because during the previous press conference I clearly stated that any official, including myself, is accountable. The fact of being accountable to the public is also confirmed by the fact that a day after the press conference, I provided clarification on the official Facebook page of the Anti-Corruption Committee, and with that clarification, the origin of the declared amounts was fixed to some extent,” he said.

Argishti Kyaramyan clarified that he entered service at the Prosecutor's Office in June 2016, and already in 2017 submitted a declaration, which included all his property that has become the subject of discussion, including movable and immovable property and monetary funds.

“Later, I held various positions in other bodies, and in the declarations presented later, there were no significant changes, meaning that from the very beginning I declared all my assets and property,” the official noted.

When asked if the Prime Minister made a mistake by stating that Kyaramyan has not been accountable, the official replied that he does not determine the correctness or incorrectness of the Prime Minister’s circumstance.

“In my opinion, any official is accountable to society, and that accountability should primarily be manifested by submitting a declaration. An official is obliged to use that institution,” said the Acting Head of the Anti-Corruption Committee.

In response to a journalist's clarifying question about whether the executive leader tried to clarify the origin of the funds from him, Argishti Kyaramyan replied that the conversation between him and the Prime Minister is not subject to publication.

“It can be confidently stated that the declared property was not formed during my employment activities,” he noted.

It is worth reminding that earlier Kyaramyan had disseminated clarification, stating that a significant portion of his monetary assets was donated to his uncle living in Europe.
