Details on the Recent Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident

As we previously reported, a fatal hit-and-run incident occurred moments ago on David Bek Street, near the Military University named after V. Sargsyan.

According to AuroraNews, the woman who was hit was an employee of the military university.

Eyewitnesses report that the woman was crossing the street at a pedestrian crossing when the incident occurred. She was not alone; her son arrived at the scene shortly after the accident. The pedestrian crossing was visible, and appropriate signage was in place.

It is noted that there is also an overhead crossing on the same street, which is elevated. People often avoid using it and cross the street at non-designated areas, increasing the risk of accidents. Unfortunately, incidents can occur here as well.

It's worth mentioning that this is the second hit-and-run incident within a single day. Earlier today, there was also an accident on Gr. Lusavorich Street. Medical professionals are fighting to save the injured person's life.
