The Traffic Police Will Present the Points System to the National Assembly Soon

The draft of the points system for traffic regulation is currently with the government and will soon be presented to the National Assembly. This was stated today during a press conference by Egor Karapetyan, the head of the Traffic Police.

The deputy head of the Traffic Police, Arman Chilingaryan, also reported that the threshold for the points system will be 9 points.

“The project provides for penalties ranging from 0.5 to 4 points for violations. After reaching 9 points, the driver's license will be suspended for a period of 6 months, and if the driver reaches 9 points a second time within a year, they will lose their driver's license,” said Arman Chilingaryan.
