I Promise to Cut Off My Hand if Any Media Publishes a Video of Me Taking Bribes: Sanasaryan

Davith Sanasaryan, the head of the State Control Service of Armenia, said during a meeting with journalists today that he would cut off his hand in an exclusive on any media outlet that first publishes a video of him taking bribes.

“This is disinformation with a counter-revolutionary base, aimed at those who see there is a large army of people who trust me and do not believe that I could be involved in corrupt practices; some people are murmuring about this,” he stated.

Sanasyan mentioned that he is accustomed to such situations.

“I treat it with forgiveness; there is no such video, I assure you, and there cannot be,” said the former head of the State Control Service.

He emphasized that he is very confident that this case has no other outcome than the suspension of the allegations against him.

It is noted that Davith Sanasaryan has been charged under the first part of Article 308 of the Armenian Criminal Code for “abusing his official position contrary to the interests of service.”
