Boxing Federation Sues Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs

The President of the Armenian Boxing Federation, Artur Gevorgyan, has made an announcement on the official Facebook page.

“Dear compatriots, as is known, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, as always acting as an executor, has suspended the state funding of the Armenian Boxing Federation, basing its decision on obviously unfounded justifications.

Naturally, this illegality could not go unanswered, and a few days ago we appealed to the Administrative Court of the Republic of Armenia, requesting to invalidate the minister's obviously unlawful order to suspend the funding of the Armenian Boxing Federation.

I do not find it unnecessary to mention that this illegality has been partially rectified and the operation of that order has been suspended by the court's ruling, meaning that the funding for the boxing federation will continue.
