Suspect Arrested in the Murder of a 15-Year-Old Boy

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has initiated a criminal case regarding the murder of a minor in the Lori region. The suspect has been arrested, as reported by the Investigative Committee.

On April 27, 2019, at 16:20, a resident of Lori region, born in 2004, was admitted to the Tashir Medical Center of the Republic of Armenia with "cut and stab wounds to the left side of the chest and the left side of the neck, hemorrhagic shock, and fourth-degree agonal state," where he died the same day without regaining consciousness.

On the same day, a criminal case was initiated at the Lori regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee under part 1 of Article 104 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.

During the pre-investigation, information was obtained indicating that the minor sustained lethal injuries during an incident regarding personal matters involving a knife used by his peer. The latter has been arrested and interrogated regarding the circumstances of the case.

The investigation is ongoing, and measures are being taken to ensure an objective, complete, and comprehensive examination of the circumstances of the incident.
