Shooting on the Yerevan-Echmiadzin Road
On April 25, the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Police received information that shots were fired from vehicles, specifically a BMW and a KIA, during a wedding procession on the Yerevan-Echmiadzin road.
As a result of operational measures, at 5:30 PM that same day, the two vehicles in question were intercepted on the Capital Boulevard of the Yerevan-Echmiadzin road, along with their drivers and three passengers.
A personal search revealed that the driver of the KIA was in possession of one silencer with a powdered substance and an air gun registration card. He claimed that the silencer belonged to him and that he used it for smoking marijuana. He also stated that the air gun mentioned in the permit was located in the KIA vehicle, which had fired several shots into the air along the Yerevan-Echmiadzin road.
The vehicles have been transported to a secure area of the Vagharshapat Police Division.
Examinations have been appointed.
The detained individuals have been released. Preparatory materials are being compiled.
