NSS Director, Police Chief, and Yerevan Mayor to Actively Participate in Budget Discussions, Says Pashinyan
The Director of the National Security Service (NSS), the Chief of Police, and the Mayor of Yerevan will actively participate in the discussions regarding the 2018 budget report in the National Assembly. This was announced today by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting.
"In order to break away from the bad traditions of previous years, it should be noted that the NSS Director, the Chief of Police, the Mayor of Yerevan, and regional governors need to be present at the discussions in the National Assembly in an active manner," he stated.
It is worth recalling that for years, Nikol Pashinyan, as an opposition figure, criticized the authorities for the absence of the Mayor of Yerevan, certain regional governors, the Police Chief, or the NSS Director during discussions on budget execution, as they would often send their deputies in their place.
