The Government Should Implement a High Salary Policy: Pashinyan

The Government of Armenia should implement a high salary policy, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today during a meeting with faculty members and students of Yerevan State University's Faculty of Economics and Management.

“One of the most important tools for implementing a high salary policy is the establishment of a flat income tax in the RA Tax Code, with the condition that in the next 3-4 years, the income tax should decrease, reaching a 20 percent flat income tax,” the Prime Minister said.

He noted that this will encourage a high salary policy, education, and specialists with high qualifications.

According to Nikol Pashinyan, the method for economic revolution will be similar to that of the political revolution, focusing on individual efforts and encouraging citizens.

“We hope that the stock market system will develop in the near future. We are also working in this direction. We will encourage private companies to pursue this path as well,” he added.
