Exam Schedule Established for 4th, 9th, and 10th Grades

The Minister of Education and Science of Armenia has approved the schedule for student assessments, state graduation exams, and the organization of these processes in general educational institutions for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Knowledge assessments for 4th grades will take place from June 1 to 10.

For 9th grades, centralized graduation exams in the subject of "Armenian Language and Literature" will be held on May 26, with graduation exams occurring from June 1 to 21.

State graduation exams for 12th graders are scheduled for December 24-28 or June 1-21. A 12th-grade student may take the state graduation exam in December for subjects not selected and not studied in the second semester, and for which they will not take the unified exam.

The assessment for 4th graders will occur as follows:

  • In the subject of "Native Language" - written (test) on June 3, with 60 minutes allocated for the exam.
  • In the subject of "Mathematics" - written (test) on June 5, with 60 minutes allocated for the exam.
  • For students in classes with instruction in Russian, also in the subject of "Russian Language" - oral during the exam period.
  • For students in national minority classes, also in the subject of "Native Language and Literature" - oral during the exam period.

9th graders will take graduation exams as follows:

  • In the subject of "Armenian Language and Literature" - written (centralized, test) on May 26, lasting 120 minutes.
  • In the subject of "Literature" - oral on June 3.
  • In the subject of "Mathematics" - written (test) on June 6, lasting 120 minutes.
  • In the subject of "Natural Sciences" (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography - student’s choice) - written (test) on June 13, lasting 120 minutes.
  • In the subject of "Foreign Language" (Russian, English, French, German, and other languages - student’s choice) - oral on June 10.
  • In the subject of "History of Armenia" - oral on June 17.
  • In the subject of "Physical Education" - during the exam period from May 27 until the end of the exam period (normative assessments).
  • For students in classes with instruction in Russian, knowledge assessments will also take place in the subject of "Russian Literature" - oral during the exam period.
  • For students in national minority classes, assessments will also occur in the subject of "Native Language and Literature" - oral during the exam period.

12th graders will take state graduation exams as follows:

  • In the subject of "Armenian Language and Literature" - written (test) on June 5, lasting 120 minutes.
  • In the subject of "History of Armenia" - written (test) on June 12, lasting 120 minutes.
  • In the subject of "Mathematics" - written (test) on June 19, lasting 120 minutes.
  • In the subject of "Physical Education" - normative assessments (check) during the period from May 27 until the end of the exam period.
  • In the subject of "Russian Literature" - oral (for classes with instruction in Russian), student’s choice in December or June during the exam period.
  • In the subject of "Native Language and Literature" - oral (for national minority classes), student’s choice in December or June during the exam period.

According to the minister's decree, final and state graduation exams will begin at 10:00 AM. Students must arrive at the educational institution by 9:00 AM. Centralized graduation exams will start at 11:00 AM, with students arriving at examination centers by 10:00 AM.
