The Cause of 10-Year-Old Brother's Murder Was Not an Online Game: Artsakh Police Deny Claims
The Police of Artsakh have denied reports suggesting that the murder of a 10-year-old boy by his brother in the Shushi region was related to online games.
The statement reads as follows:
“Recently, information has been circulating on social media that on April 12 of this year, between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM, an incident occurred involving S.G., a resident of the Nor Getashen community born in 2001, who allegedly killed his younger brother V.G., born in 2009, due to online games.
In adherence to the presumption of innocence and without revealing investigation results, we inform you that the circulating news does not correspond to reality and online games or their influence were not the cause of the mentioned murder.
Once again, we inform you that on April 15 of this year, S.G., born in 2001 and a resident of the Nor Getashen community in the Shushi region, has been charged under the relevant articles of the Artsakh Criminal Code and has been placed in detention as a preventive measure.
Expert examinations have been appointed, and the preliminary investigation is ongoing.”
