Body of 36-Year-Old Security Chief of Spayka Company Found Near Parents' Grave in Yerevan

A mysterious and tragic incident occurred in Yerevan today, April 18. Around 1:40 PM, the emergency situations ministry's rescue service received a call reporting a male body at the cemetery near the Spayka Company on Artashat Highway.

According to Shamshyan.com, police and investigators discovered the body of 36-year-old Gevorg Ayvazyan, a resident of Noragavit, near his parents' grave, with a belt wrapped around his neck. Two mobile phones were also found near the body. Relatives of the deceased, speaking with a photojournalist at the scene, stated: “We had been searching for Gevorg since yesterday, who had three children. He was the security chief for Spayka Company in the Ararat region and was respected and loved by both family and friends; he was devoted to his family. Yesterday we contacted the Shengavit police, and they were searching for him alongside us, but who would have thought we would find the body near his parents' graves? Whether this was suicide or something else, we, as his relatives, cannot say at this moment. We hope the investigation will proceed objectively and that this mysterious case will be clear to us regarding what really happened. However, there are certainly suspicions since it is hard to believe that someone would take their own life.”
