No Armenians or Armenian citizens among victims and injured in Sri Lanka attacks
According to the consular department of the Armenian Embassy in India, there are no Armenian citizens among the victims of the attacks that occurred in Sri Lanka.
As reported by the consular department to Aysor.am, due to the lack of a permanent representation in Sri Lanka, the information is still being verified; however, based on the data available at this time, no Armenian citizens were injured in the explosion that took place yesterday in a Catholic church.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, a series of 8 explosions rocked churches in Sri Lanka, hotels in Colombo, and other areas of the country. Preliminary data indicates that the number of casualties has reached 290, with nearly 500 injured. Among the victims are citizens from 35 different countries, including Denmark, Japan, Pakistan, Morocco, India, Bangladesh, China, the Netherlands, the USA, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
