Terror Attacks in Sri Lanka During Easter Celebrations, Casualties Reported
Explosions have been heard in two churches during Easter celebrations in Sri Lanka. According to Reuters, explosions also occurred in two hotels in the capital, Colombo. Reports indicate that there were 6 blasts in total. It is not ruled out that the explosions took place in both the hotels and the churches.
As of now, it is known that there are 42 fatalities and over 280 injuries. The exact number of injured and dead is still unclear, with some sources mentioning 20 dead and 160 injured.
The police believe that the number of casualties may rise, and it has already been announced that the blasts are being classified as acts of terrorism.
