18 Dead and 40 Injured in Balcony Collapse in Canada

The celebration in Langley, Canada, ended in tragedy when a private home’s balcony collapsed. As a result of the incident, 18 people have died, and around 40 others have been injured.

According to CBC, the covered balcony could not withstand the weight and gave way. Emergency services arrived at the scene with 19 ambulances and one helicopter.

Local police report that among the injured are both children and elderly individuals.
