Attempted Suicide by Taking Large Amounts of Pills

On April 20, at 14:32, a call was received by the 911 service of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations reporting that a resident of an apartment on the 4th floor of building 30 on Minsk Street in Yerevan had locked themselves inside the apartment and was threatening to commit suicide. Assistance from rescuers was needed.

A firefighting and rescue team was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that the resident in question (A.K., born in 1981) had ingested a large quantity of pills.

Rescuers opened the apartment door and found A.K. lying on the bathroom floor.

The citizen was carried down by the rescuers and brought to the ambulance. He was then hospitalized at the Armenia Medical Center. The victim's health condition has been assessed as moderately severe.
