Six Vehicles Collide on Ashtarak Highway, Injuries Reported
On April 15 at 23:53, Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call from the "911" service reporting a traffic accident on Gevorg Chavush Street in Yerevan involving six vehicles, with citizens reported trapped. Emergency rescue assistance was required.
Two fire-rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene.
It was established that at the beginning of the Ashtarak highway, a collision occurred involving vehicles of brands "VAZ-2106," "Honda CRV," "Nissan Teana," "Gazelle," "Toyota Camry," and "Mercedes C 6.3."
Before the rescuers arrived, a passenger from the "VAZ-2106," identified as K.N. (born in 1997), was extracted from the vehicle by local forces. The driver, H.N. (born in 1979), was rescued by emergency personnel and transported to an ambulance. The injured were taken to Armenia Medical Center with various injuries, where their health conditions were assessed as stable.
Rescuers disconnected the gas cylinders from the vehicles and secured the valves.
