Pedestrian Accident on Garegin Nzhdeh Street

On April 16, at 12:21 PM, a call was received by the '911' service reporting an accident near building number 21 on Garegin Nzhdeh Street in Yerevan. A citizen had been struck by a vehicle and was situated in the building's basement; assistance from rescuers was required.

A firefighting and rescue team was dispatched from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It was determined that a 'Mitsubishi Lancer' vehicle had veered off the roadway and struck a pedestrian identified as S.H. (born in 1948). The individual rolled down the stairs and fell into the basement located on the first floor of the building.

The rescuers extricated the individual from the basement and brought him to the ambulance on a stretcher. S.H. has been hospitalized at 'Erebuni' Medical Center.
