Investigation Launched into Assault on Edgar Tsaturyan at Police Station

The case of 36-year-old Edgar Tsaturyan, who was allegedly assaulted at a police station in Nor Nork and subsequently received improper medical treatment at a hospital, has been referred by the Prosecutor General's Office to the Investigative Committee for verification.

This news comes amid a fervent online reaction regarding the death of Nor Nork resident Edgar Tsaturyan over the past few days.

Tsaturyan's mother, Larisa Yetaryan, has accused the police and the doctors at Armenia Medical Center of her son's death. She claims that her son was brutally beaten at the Nor Nork police station, where drugs were planted in his pocket, which Edgar swallowed out of fear. According to the victim’s mother, he did not receive timely medical assistance at the hospital and was given soda water, after which he vomited and died moments later.

It is worth mentioning that the young man passed away on April 8 at Armenia Medical Center.

According to the police, the preliminary medical conclusion stated that the cause of Edgar Tsaturyan's death was acute cardiovascular and respiratory failure, acute amphetamine poisoning, and toxic coma.
