Arthur Abraham Divorces Due to Wife's Sectarian Beliefs: iPRESS
The reason for the divorce of well-known Armenian professional boxer Arthur Abraham has been revealed.
According to iPRESS.am, Arthur and his wife divorced because she, Mary Abrahamyan, and her mother are members of a sect, which Arthur disapproved of.
The media outlet reports that for a long time, Arthur Abraham left his wife at her parents' house, providing her with the opportunity to find her own path before returning to the family. Frequent arguments occurred in the presence of the wife's family members. However, Mary Abrahamyan did not choose the path that Arthur preferred.
Earlier, it was reported that it recently became known that boxer Arthur Abraham had divorced. The "Datalex" judicial-information system indicates that Mary Abrahamyan, Arthur Abraham's wife, has filed a lawsuit against Avetik Abrahamyan (Arthur Abraham) because he took their child and left the country.
"Due to family disagreements, the parties have terminated their marital relationship and do not maintain a joint household. After yet another argument, my client left with the child," said the wife's attorney as noted in the court documents. The parties have agreed that their minor son will reside with Mary Abrahamyan at her residence.
The former spouses have agreed that the father must pay 500,000 AMD monthly in alimony for the child. Moreover, the couple has one son, Grigor Abrahamyan, who is 3 years old and holds German citizenship.
