Transportation of Children Under 7 Years Old Must Be Done Using Car Seats
Transportation of children under the age of 7 must be carried out using a child safety seat (car seat), while the transportation of children aged 7 to 12 should be done either through the use of child safety seats or seat belts.
This was reported by the Government of Armenia.
According to a decision made by the government, the transportation of children under 7 in passenger cars and the cabins of cargo vehicles, which are equipped with seat belts or safety belts and 'ISOFIX' child restraint systems, must be carried out using child restraint systems suitable for the child's weight and height.
For children aged 7 to 12, transportation in passenger cars and the cabins of cargo vehicles with seat belts or safety belts must involve either child restraint systems suitable for their weight and height or the use of seat belts. Additionally, in the front passenger seat of a passenger car, only child restraint systems appropriate for the child's weight and height should be used.
The installation of child restraint systems and the placement of children within them must comply with the operational rules of the specified devices.
