The Application for Dismissal of the Customs Inspector Should Not Be Granted: Sakunts

The primary responsibility for this situation lies with the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Davit Ananyan, and the heads of relevant departments, who have failed to provide normal working conditions. This was stated by human rights defender Arthur Sakunts in an interview with NEWS.am regarding the public reprimand given by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to a SRC employee for a dirty flag and the demand for a resignation request.

He is confident that the Chairman of the SRC should be held accountable for the state of affairs in his organization. 'The SRC chairman is not just someone who distributes bonuses. He must be responsible for the performance of his employees' job duties and the provision of working conditions. The Prime Minister must be able to manage his subordinates, the heads of state bodies he appoints, in such a way that they transfer this management style to the sectors they oversee,' he noted.

Sakunts emphasized that it is predominantly the SRC chairman who has faltered. 'If the SRC chairman says he has made efforts, trained, and instructed, then an unscrupulous worker can be dismissed, but we do not know what efforts the SRC chairman has actually made.'
