Simply Trying to Tarnish Sirusho's Name: Nune Khurshudyan
Sirusho's entire activity is dedicated to the promotion of Armenian culture, and now it feels like there is an effort to tarnish the singer's name. This was stated by the singer's producer Nune Khurshudyan in an interview with Aurora News.
"For years, we have been touring the Armenian communities in the diaspora, presenting our culture, instilling a sense of nationalism among Armenian youth, and making foreigners familiar with Armenian heritage. All of this is not easy, and now it turns out that the entire burden of our country is on Sirusho's concerts, in which some issues are being sought. We have nothing to hide, but our media could also present the significant work Sirusho is doing, instead of only publishing such articles," said Nune Khurshudyan, adding that this, in her definition, is merely an attempt to distort the work done by the singer, which she considers shameful.
Khurshudyan described the vibrant and positive response Sirusho's work receives abroad: "Everywhere, people say how well we present our national culture, and it is sad that you come home and see this kind of representation of the work. At this moment, Sirusho is collaborating with internationally recognized individuals in the industry, and I wouldn’t even want her to know about these articles."
We inquired whether the singer's producer is aware of when the inquiries began and what nature they hold. Khurshudyan mentioned that she is not informed. "I must note that the media have not even approached us for information verification, and it might have been more appropriate to contact us for clarification before spreading news—especially since we have nothing to hide," our interlocutor concluded.
We recall that it was previously reported that the financial transactions of singer Sirusho's concerts are being scrutinized.
