Czech Republic Suspends Narek Sargsyan's Extradition Case
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that a recent court session in the Czech Republic addressed the Armenian prosecutor's request for the extradition of Narek Sargsyan, the nephew of Serzh Sargsyan, who has now become known as Franklin Gonzales. A previous hearing was postponed.
Recently, another session took place, but according to information received, Czech law enforcement has suspended the proceedings regarding the extradition, transferring him to a refugee camp instead. Simultaneously, a separate case is being reviewed in the Czech Republic concerning the acquisition of a fake passport by Sargsyan in their country.
For comments, "Zhoghovurd" reached out to the Armenian Prosecutor’s Office, which stated: "The Armenian Prosecutor’s Office has not been officially informed by the Czech side regarding the rejection of the request for the extradition of Narek Sargsyan, who is wanted and currently under extradition custody by Czech law enforcement. Thus, the process of handing over this individual to the Armenian law enforcement agencies is currently ongoing."
