Armenian Foreign Ministry's Response to International Organizations
The Armenian government is fully committed to its obligations regarding the protection and promotion of human rights. The non-violent democratic revolution that took place in Armenia is the best evidence that human rights, as a rule, operate effectively when they become part of public consensus and are perceived as universal societal and moral values.
This is stated in the official statement of the Armenian Foreign Ministry in response to international organizations.
It is noted that in this context, our international partners should show greater respect and sensitivity towards Armenian society and refrain from undue guidance of public discussions, even if they disagree with the tone of those discussions.
The Foreign Ministry also reminds that the principle of public morality is part of international human rights obligations, and these cannot be overlooked. In turn, the Armenian authorities will not tolerate any illegal actions and will continue to defend the constitutional rights of all citizens.
