‘Spitaktsi Hayko’ did not feel anything unusual, which is why he did not stop – lawyer

“I spoke with him, and he says that he did not feel anything unusual, which is why he did not stop; otherwise, he would have definitely stopped. These are questions that need to be clarified as a result of a comprehensive expert examination,” said the lawyer of singer Haykaram Ghazvondyan, known in the public as ‘Spitaktsi Hayko,’ Ruben Baloyan, in an interview with news.am.

It is noteworthy that Arayik Chibukhchyan, the driver of a ‘Kia Sorento’ vehicle with a military license plate from the Ministry of Defense, has also been granted the status of accused in this case. He is charged under Article 377 Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code for violating driving rules, which accidentally caused the death of a person. A signature not to leave the jurisdiction has also been chosen as a measure of restraint against him.

Recall that on December 14, 2018, at around 07:40, A.Ch., a contracted serviceman of the Ministry of Defense, while driving a ‘Kia Sorento’ military vehicle numbered 0032 M, struck pedestrian Khnarik Petikyan in Khanyan Street in Yerevan, causing her death due to negligence.
