Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Yerevan: Pedestrian Dies on the Spot
Today, April 8, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 21:35, Arsen Hakobyan, a 46-year-old resident of Yerevan, hit a pedestrian with his Ford Transit vehicle, license plate 25 TO 345, on the newly constructed Saralanj road heading towards Papazyan street, in front of building 131 of the Upper Forest.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reporting from the scene, the driver did not flee the scene and called 1-03 for assistance. The driver underwent a sobriety test on-site, which confirmed that he was sober while operating the vehicle. The police and investigative department are working to determine the identity of the deceased. Following the investigator's orders, the vehicle was towed to a designated area managed by the traffic police in Yerevan.
